A collection of fillers - made for different needs
JUVÉDERM® is the #1 selling collection of hyaluronic acid fillers in the US. Each product in the JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers adds volume to a different area of the face to lift cheeks, smooth parentheses lines, or plump the lips. The results are subtle and long-lasting.
The JUVÉDERM® collection of fillers is made from hyaluronic acid (HA). What’s interesting about HA is that it’s a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients, helps the skin retain moisture and softness, and adds volume. Each product in the JUVÉDERM®collection of fillers is made from a modified form of HA.
Juvederm comes in 2 main forms, Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus. Both products now come in “XC” form as well, which means that lidocaine has been added to the product for an anesthetic effect with injection. Both products are similar in how they spread out into the tissue a little more than some other facial filler products. They also tend to absorb more water when injected, and so Juvederm injections can swell more than some of the other products in general. For this reason, Juvederm products are generally not the best choice for treating the area around the eyes. The difference between Juvederm Ultra and Juvederm Ultra Plus is the size of the particles, with Juvederm Ultra Plus having a larger particle size, and thus a longer duration of action. In my experience, Juvederm Ultra typically lasts 6-9 months while Juvederm Ultra Plus typically lasts 9-12 months. The softness of the Juvederm family of products generally makes them excellent choices for treating nasolabial folds and the corners of the mouth.
Natural-looking lips that last
Some people simply have naturally thin lips and just want to achieve a fuller appearance. Other people have noticed their lips thinning over time and may also have seen vertical lip lines become more noticeable. Whatever your unique needs are when it comes to your lips, the JUVÉDERM® collection may be able to help.
